With spring weather in full swing and summer right around the corner, it’s easy to become distracted. In light of that realization (cue the daydream background music), I decided to round up a few of my favorite mobile applications that help me manage my workload and stay productive, even when I’m not focused on it. And though it may seem a bit of an oxymoron that I’ve taken the time to outline a list of apps that assist with productivity, they truly do the trick. If they didn’t, I might not be able to check out of the AfterShokz office early today so I can hit the Beaver Lake Nature Center this afternoon!

Evernote

Evernote (iOS, Windows 8, Android, Blackberry)

Do you need to organize your thoughts, chart your movements and share data with colleagues? This app is great for anyone who has to work on the go. Not only is Evernote available for your mobile device but your computer as well. You can create documents on your desktop and after you’ve left the office, you can view and edit them while on your mobile device.

Cost – Free (Premium $4.99/mo | 44.99/yr)

Cardmunch

Card Munch (iOS)

LinkedIn finally realized that they had potential to contribute something more than just a social network to businesses. This app allows you to maintain your business connections by digitizing business cards. After you capture a photo of the card it is submitted to a team on the other end. Over a matter of minutes your business card is recognized and synced to a LinkedIn account. By far, this is the simplest way to organize contact information of people you have met on the road.

Cost – Free (Download LinkedIn’s mobile app for optimal functionality)

google-drive-ios

Google Drive (iOS, Android)

Do you use Google for business? Do you have a Gmail account? Do you like to interact with your documents on the go? Google Drive is the solution for that. Now you can share and interact with your folders and files all from your mobile device. While the details of this app aren’t complicated, it’s a productivity playground. Additionally, if you want to get the most out of your Google account, use Chrome as your browser. You can download it on your smart phone or tablet and seamlessly use all of your computers browser settings while on the road.

Wunderlist 2 (iOS, Android)

Organize your tasks with this digital To Do list. While it may not be necessary for you to have this app for a quick errand, it is a phenomenal tool for any kind of team. You can delegate items to any of your colleagues or friends, set up recurring events and add notes to any existing tasks. Although there are many options to managing your time, this app is not only easy to use, but it is a visual masterpiece.

Weave (iOS)

This app from Intuit, you may have heard of them from TurboTax or Quickbooks, is a great solution to managing your schedule. Like many apps in its category, you are able to organize your schedule and share it with other Weave users. While all that might be similar to something else you’ve use, it’s best feature is its expense calculator. You can be your own banker by uploading expenses and receipts into the neat calculator. Overall, this app is great, however it’s excellent for a business man on the road.

Cost – Free

I’d recommend all of these apps to anyone looking to get their schedule in order. But of course, always looking for handy tools I may have missed. So what apps do you use to stay on schedule? What else do you use to manage your work? Inquiring minds want to know!
